J Crew Blythe Blouse with Thrifted Silk Jacket

This outfit is a bit of a fashion risk, but you know what I always say - YOU CAN'T BE STYLISH IF YOU DON'T TAKE RISKS! Spotting this jacket was like spotting a unicorn. The other ladies shopping nearby did a collective 'WOAH' as I pulled it in to the light. The cut couldn't be more classic (it's a little 'boyfriend-ish' on me), the lining and the shell are both 100% silk, and it's PRISTINE. When I first saw it it reminded me of the horse motiffs used by Stella McCartney in her 2001 collection. It was so unique I had to have it. And why not?! It was $1!!!

When I wear something this loud I want to keep everything else really simple and un-fussy. Faded blue jeans, a silk blouse, and basic black pumps are the perfect way to tame all theses wild horses.
