I love my beat up denim shorts. Frayed and ragged, slouchy and a little sloppy: if they aren't hanging on by a thread they aren't mine. I cut them myself (usully from a pair of old Levi 501s), shred the edges, washed them, roll them, practically make love to them. And though I love them, I don't always love my legs in them. Despite diet and fitness some 'flaws' just won't bend to my will. I've found adding a flowy kimono over my shorts gives me just the right balance of leg and coverage. Although I'm basically in little more than 'beach clothing', a soft block heeled sandal pulls these pieces together enough for a casual day in the city. Change the shoe to a flat sandal (which I did) and you've got summer's weekend uniform.
