The Modern Trench Coat

I love the optimism that is hallmark to the glorious season of SPRING! The first appearance of budding life and color makes even chilly drizzly days feel promising and fresh. On such days I find a trench coat to be the easiest thing to throw on over any outfit for instant togetherness. Always at the top of my list for spring's all time most classic wardrobe staples, this year the trench feels most modern when interpreted as a slouchy duster or an unstructered knee length jacket. Luckily, there are literally dozens of colors, lengths, (and price points) out there ripe for the plucking. I love my classic khaki version (pictured) so much, I'm thinking of getting a (few) new colors to add to the rotation.
