Having spent most of my life in the highland desert of Colorado I never had much need for a raincoat. It rarely rains in Colorado, and if it 'sprinkles' it never amounts to much moisture. It wasn't until arriving in my rain soaked new home that I realized I kind of really need a jacket that works in the rain... awesome! I stumbled upon this Swing Trench Coat from J Crew while looking around the store a few weeks ago. It felt great the moment I put it on (I think my 5'11" frame can carry the 'swing', though I can see how some could find it too voluminous) and when another shopper came over to tell me how cute it looked I figured it was meant to be. So, I put it back on the rack, and waited for it to go on sale online! My inner bargain shopper will never die.
