That Seventies Denim Skirt

Tank: J Crew // Skirt: Asos // Satchel: Madewell // Mules: J Crew // Scarf: Vintage Men's Bowtie (Similar) // Watch: Invicta // Aviators: Ray-Ban

Alright, alright, alright... (That's me being Wooderson from Dazed and Confused).  Who else is lovin' a Seventies inspired denim skirt?!? For me, the definitive factor of the skirt du jour is the exposed botton or zipper placket straight down the front. There are great version without this feature, but I personally love the Seventies nod this extra details lends.

I was born in the Seventies so I'm starting to shy away from showing my bare legs in super short mini skirts. Never being one to miss out on a trend, I was so happy to see one of my favorite retailers (Asos) offering a midi length version. It's perfect for summer with little tops and sandals, and something tells me it'll be wonderful this fall with a chunky sweater, ankle boots, and a great scarf. (Yes, it's close to being time to start making that fall transition! Eek!)

I like to keep the look clean and simple with a classic white tank and leather mules; and a skinny scarf (also very Seventies) is the perfect extra 'layer' for hot and humid days. How are you wearing your denim skirt?!
