It's been way too long since I've featured a thrifted piece of clothing! This Calvin Klein skirt is a score from last year when I started noticing denim being used for more than jeans and jean jackets. Patchwork skirts and dresses, even coats and blazers were being constructed with denim and chambray so I thought this piece might have potential to be really cute one day. I love its highwaisted mid length swing and its got an interesting fold/pleat at the front that concels two pockets. Cool.. different.. Maybe I'll find occassion to wear it, I thought. It wasn't until I stumbled upon this cropped chambray cami from Forever 21 (featured in my recent post 'Fifty Under $50') that the skirt made sense and and an actual outfit was born. Paired with nicer pieces, like my classic Ray-Bans and my favorite J Crew Jewelry and Bucket Bag, my $4 skirt suddenly looks like a whole lot more.
