This black dress-of-a-waistcoat-of-a-trench reminded me of something I read the other day: 'The smarter the outfit, the less jewelry you need'. The tailoring and details of this garment feel so rich I feel almost completely dress with it just draped over my shoulders. Though I did manage to put on some lipstick and grab my favorite sunnies. But then as I was looking for shoes, I was reminded of another great style statement to live by: 'Everyone needs at least one pair of funky shoes'. So, I tied on these platform brogues and away I went.
